Solution

TVB deployed Auto Scaling infrastructure to handle exponential viewership growth across its OTT applications (myTV SUPER, TVB Anywhere) and terrestrial broadcast content delivery. The platform ingests viewer request streams during peak hours, automatically provisioning compute resources across multiple backend servers while reducing infrastructure costs during off-peak periods. PolarDB's cloud-native architecture provides high-stability database performance during scale-out events while reducing data storage costs. The solution improved application availability and end-user experience while optimizing IT operational efficiency and cost-per-transaction for media and entertainment delivery at global scale.
