Accenture

Document Processing · Real-time Analytics

Accenture's earlier cloud estate still relied on workloads that were not rearchitected for cloud-native operations, while siloed ERP systems and manual data gathering made it hard to get a unified real-time view of the business or use AI-driven insights efficiently across functions.

Solution

Accenture used Google Cloud to rebuild its own enterprise foundation as a cloud-native operating environment instead of a basic lift-and-shift migration. The transformation moved application delivery into automated pipelines, containerized services, and scalable cloud infrastructure so engineers could provision environments in minutes. At the data layer, Accenture consolidated enterprise information from HR, Sales, Legal, Finance, and other functions into a cloud-native data lake on Google Cloud with BigQuery providing analysis and reporting. That foundation powers business-management dashboards that combine diverse sources in real time, while a legal contract management system uses BigQuery, Google Translate API, AI, and natural language processing to translate documents, detect trends, flag risks, and verify policies. The resulting architecture gives Accenture a unified digital core for ongoing analytics, machine learning, governance, and enterprise-scale process automation.

Data flow

Enterprise data from HR, Sales, Legal, Finance, and proprietary applications flows into a cloud-native data lake on Google Cloud. BigQuery and related AI services analyze those integrated datasets in real time for dashboards and operational workflows, while specialized services such as Google Translate API feed contract documents into AI and NLP processes that surface risks, trends, and policy issues for end users.

Solution architecture

5 components · 3 layers
  1. Compute
    • Google Cloud Provides the cloud-native infrastructure, services, and security model Accenture uses to run, operate, and innovate across its global IT environment.
    • BigQuery Supports real-time analysis for management dashboards and contract-related insight generation across the enterprise.
    • Google Translate API Helps the legal contract management workflow translate documents before AI and NLP identify trends, risks, and policy issues.
  2. Storage
    • cloud-native data lake Consolidates enterprise data from multiple functions into a single governed foundation for analytics and machine learning.
  3. Orchestration
    • automated delivery pipelines Automate software provisioning, coding, testing, and release so new applications can be built and deployed rapidly.

Architecture clues

  • Dashboards combine project, resource, and compliance data in real time.
  • Enterprise data is unified in a single Google Cloud data lake with governed access.
  • Every new application is built and deployed through automated pipelines.
  • The legal workflow applies AI and natural language processing to multilingual contracts.

Scoring methodology

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    3 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence89%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    6 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency8/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
