Solution
Trackunit unified what was previously a Finance/Engineering/RevOps trio of siloed 'lakehouses' into a single Databricks Lakehouse that harmonizes ~3 billion daily data points from 6 million connected construction machines together with Salesforce, Planhat, and proprietary machine data — ingested through Lakeflow Connect and governed end-to-end by Unity Catalog. Trackunit then took the rare step of becoming a 'Built-on' partner: Databricks capabilities are embedded directly into IrisX, Trackunit's customer-facing platform for OEMs, rental companies, and construction contractors, giving customers enterprise-grade data and AI without building it themselves. Databricks SQL, AI/BI, and Genie surface analytics to both internal teams and IrisX customers in plain language, and Agent Bricks is being prepared for upcoming agentic capabilities. Customers building on IrisX report 5x faster time-to-market.
Data flow
More than 6 million connected construction machines stream ~3 billion data points per day into Trackunit's central Databricks Lakehouse, alongside Salesforce, Planhat, and other proprietary data ingested through Lakeflow Connect. Unity Catalog harmonizes what was previously a siloed Finance/Engineering/RevOps trio of 'lakehouses' into a single source of truth. Databricks SQL and AI/BI surface analytics through IrisX directly to OEM, rental, and construction-company customers — giving them the full Databricks toolkit without having to build it themselves. Genie lets non-technical users query and adjust visualizations in plain language, and Agent Bricks is queued for upcoming agentic capabilities.
