Solution

Hailiang Group used Huawei Cloud to standardize infrastructure, centralize data, and train a copper-foil process optimization model for advanced manufacturing. First, Huawei helped move more than 300 business systems onto a cloud-native platform so the group could manage multi-business workloads in shared resource pools with high availability. Next, Hailiang built a unified data lake and governance layer and connected it to the 'Hailiang Brain' cockpit for group decision support. On that foundation, the Hailiang-Huawei joint lab selected copper-foil optimization as a high-value AI scenario, analyzed 12 major processes, 90+ process and equipment parameters, 30+ quality indicators, and 26 business systems, and extracted 5,000–6,000 core data points per second. Huawei Cloud Pangu Predictive Model and Hailiang's expert knowledge are then used to predict material properties and defects in production.

Data flow

Operational data from hundreds of systems is centralized into a unified data lake and asset catalog, then filtered into high-value copper-foil process data streams. The Pangu-based optimization model trains on process, equipment, and quality indicators and feeds predictions back into manufacturing and management workflows through Hailiang Brain.
