Solution

Poste Italiane and Accenture rebuilt the organization's service model around a cloud-ready digital backbone, then layered AI into the experiences delivered on top of it. The core platform migrated hundreds of critical applications to SAP S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure and introduced a data mesh architecture that unifies operations and supports rapid launch of new services. That digital core powers Poste Italiane's SuperApp, which brings banking, insurance, logistics, and energy services into one personalized experience used at national scale. AI assistants now resolve customer questions across digital touchpoints, AI agents surface real-time insights and tailored scripts for branch staff, physical AI and computer vision pilots support logistics, and gen AI tools help IT engineers search documentation and summarize architecture policies. The result is an AI-enabled national service platform that links cloud modernization, data integration, and customer interactions in one operating model.

Data flow

Operational data is unified through the SAP S/4HANA and data-mesh backbone running on Microsoft Azure, then exposed through the SuperApp and branch-service workflows. AI assistants use that digital core to answer customer questions across touchpoints, AI agents surface branch recommendations and scripts from the same data layer, and newer physical-AI and gen-AI use cases feed logistics and IT engineering processes connected to the shared platform.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value75/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact0/25
    0 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence87%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
