Alibaba Cloud Healthcare China Translated from Chinese

eDoctor (翼多)

Document Processing · Enterprise Knowledge Search

eDoctor needed to improve multilingual medical communication and content production without sacrificing rigor. International medical meetings required simultaneous translation and fast summaries, while the company also had to generate accurate medical content, subtitles, and searchable course assets at scale for pharmaceutical and healthcare audiences.

Reported impact

Business outcome

eDoctor upgraded its healthcare-information products without scaling content labor linearly. Bailian reduced the manual effort required for subtitles, translation, summarization, and content drafting, improved the competitiveness of the Tuomai platform, and extended eDoctor's reach across medical meetings, live streams, and training assets while preserving the rigor required in medical communication.

Solution

eDoctor integrated Alibaba Cloud Bailian into its medical-marketing and medical-education platform so multilingual meetings, video courses, and medical content workflows could be handled on one AI stack. Bailian's multimodal models are used on live medical exchanges to generate subtitles, support simultaneous interpretation, and produce rapid meeting summaries that reduce language barriers in international collaboration. On the Tuomai platform, eDoctor also uses Bailian supervised fine-tuning (SFT) to adapt model behavior for medically rigorous content, improving correctness and tone instead of relying on generic responses. The same LLM layer extends into a content-creation center for medical UGC and into a course repository where Bailian Agent summarizes lesson essentials and powers site-wide retrieval across stored medical videos. That architecture makes translation, summarization, search, and content drafting reusable services inside one healthcare-information platform.

Data flow

Live meeting audio, recorded courses, and medical content assets flow through Bailian multimodal models for transcription, translation, summarization, and content generation. SFT-tuned model behavior is then applied inside the Tuomai platform, where outputs are published to users or indexed by Bailian Agent for course summary and search workflows.

Solution architecture

4 components · 2 layers
  1. Compute
    • Bailian multimodal models Handle speech, subtitle, translation, and summary generation for medical meetings and media assets.
    • Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) Adapts the base model so generated medical content is more accurate and rigorous for healthcare use.
  2. Serving
    • Tuomai platform Hosts the meeting, course, and medical-content workflows that consume Bailian outputs.
    • Bailian Agent Summarizes course essentials and powers site-wide retrieval across stored medical learning content.

Architecture clues

  • Course repositories are turned into a searchable knowledge layer by pairing stored media with AI summaries and retrieval.
  • Medical-content generation is tuned for correctness and rigor before outputs are exposed to users.
  • The production design combines multimodal inference, supervised fine-tuning, and Agent-based retrieval instead of relying on a single generic model endpoint.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value90/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence93%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability23/25
11 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    4 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency10/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
