Solution

Generali GC&C and Capgemini built AGORA as a cloud-native underwriting and operations platform that replaces fragmented legacy tooling with a unified SaaS environment and a Gen AI assistant. The implementation standardized submissions and servicing workflows, enriched risk and customer data, and provided underwriters with intuitive interfaces for the pre- and post-bind lifecycle. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online underpin the platform, while a custom Outlook add-in lets users create opportunities, manage submissions, and attach documents directly from email. Capgemini also migrated 1.9 TB of content from multiple countries into SharePoint Online to consolidate live and archived documents on one secure platform. AI-powered extraction and enrichment, compliance screening, document generation, and downstream integrations are brought together inside AGORA, which is updated quarterly and supported by governance, hypercare teams, and local champions.

Data flow

Submission and servicing data is standardized inside AGORA and related Microsoft workflow tools, documents are consolidated into SharePoint Online, AI services extract and enrich underwriting information, and users work from Dynamics 365 and Outlook-connected interfaces to manage risk and service activity.
