Solution
Alta uses Google Cloud to package both its Gemini-powered spend intelligence product and a fully transactable marketplace buying flow. Alta's core platform brings SaaS, cloud, hardware, and AI investment data into one system of record so finance and IT leaders can track cost, usage, ownership, and ROI in one place. Gemini supplies the intelligence layer that learns how an organization operates and turns that context into cost-saving guidance, more accurate forecasts, and board-ready summaries. To sell the product through Google Cloud Marketplace, Premier Cloud built an automated checkout service on Cloud Run that processes orders in the background and calls Google Partner Procurement APIs as the transaction bridge. Cloud SQL stores customer order records, while Cloud Pub/Sub sends plan event notifications so buyers can complete purchases online with existing Google Cloud credits and start using the software quickly.
Data flow
Technology-spend, usage, ownership, and ROI data from customers' SaaS, cloud, hardware, and AI environments feeds Alta's platform, where Gemini generates forecasts, savings guidance, and board-ready summaries. When a buyer purchases through Google Cloud Marketplace, the checkout service running on Cloud Run calls Google Partner Procurement APIs, writes order records to Cloud SQL, and uses Cloud Pub/Sub to trigger plan-change notifications and onboarding actions.
