Solution

C-Metric applied its Aivio virtual assistant to a healthcare-services environment using a layered IBM AI stack. IBM watsonx Assistant provides the conversational interface, while IBM watsonx.ai and IBM Granite foundation models generate context-aware responses. IBM Watson Discovery adds retrieval-augmented understanding over the client’s document repositories, and the overall solution integrates through secured APIs with role-based access so data privacy requirements such as HIPAA, GDPR and SOC2 can be respected. Aivio also includes an Excel analyzer for large datasets, turning document and spreadsheet content into action items for business teams. In the implemented workflow, users query the assistant in natural language, supporting content is retrieved from multiple systems, and the platform returns answers, summaries and operational insights. This lets the healthcare provider turn scattered, compliance-heavy information into a coordinated search and decision-support experience.

Data flow

Documents and spreadsheet data from disparate repositories are accessed through secured APIs, retrieved and interpreted by Watson Discovery and watsonx.ai, and then returned to users through Aivio’s assistant interface as answers, summaries and action items.

Scoring methodology

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    4 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence87%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability23/25
11 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence15/20
    3 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency9/10
2 source references document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
