Solution

Mapfre describes a portfolio of in-house and partner-supported AI systems embedded across insurance operations. Inputs include customer emails, vehicle damage images captured during policy issuance, claims data, rehabilitation information, insured-portfolio risk data, cyber-risk signals for SMEs, and internal knowledge sources such as product sheets, conditioning factors, and operations content. Processing is handled through deep learning, generative AI, and partner solutions including Shift for end-to-end home-claims automation in Brazil, ControlExpert for real-time vehicle-damage verification, Trak for AI-supported digital physiotherapy, Lobelia for climate-risk prediction, Cyberwrite for cyber-risk assessment, and MIA GPT for agency query resolution. Outputs are served into claims payments, underwriting and risk workflows, employee assistance, customer interactions, and digital marketing content. Governance is enforced through Mapfre's group AI governance model and Holistic AI for transparency, fairness, and risk mitigation.

Data flow

Mapfre ingests customer emails, vehicle images, claims information, internal agency knowledge, and portfolio or cyber-risk data into AI services. Deep-learning and generative-AI components classify, verify, predict, or answer questions, then feed results into claims validation and payment, underwriting and risk assessment, rehabilitation monitoring, internal agency support, and digital content publishing.

Scoring methodology

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value90/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence94%
  • Source authority25/25
The deployment is described by the adopting organization or a government source.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    7 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency8/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
