Solution

Telefónica Brasil built CME (Energy Monitoring Center), an in-house AI-based energy management system for electricity operations across Brazil. CME ingests telemetry, network traffic, weather data, installed-equipment information, maintenance alarms, population-density inputs, and digitized electricity invoices. The invoice stream is normalized with generative AI so bills in more than 200 formats can be converted into structured data and contribute more than 150 technical and financial variables. AI algorithms implemented in ETL tools then integrate, transform, and analyze these multi-source datasets to predict energy consumption, generate diagnostics and indicators, trigger alarms, automate management workflows, and recommend efficiency actions. CME serves as the centralized operational layer for monitoring more than 35,000 consumption points, with real-time visibility for medium-voltage sites and automated analysis flows feeding proactive energy management.

Data flow

Telemetry, network traffic, weather, equipment, maintenance-alarm, population-density, and invoice data are ingested into CME. Generative AI converts invoice formats into structured variables, then AI algorithms in ETL tools integrate and analyze the combined datasets. The resulting predictions, diagnostics, alarms, indicators, and efficiency recommendations are served through CME for centralized management of sites across Brazil.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    2 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
