Parabole AI

Parabole AI needed to make causal industrial optimization practical at scale, but CPU-based causal analysis and brute-force optimization made complex production and energy-planning scenarios too slow to support near-real-time decision making.

Business outcome

Parabole cut end-to-end causal analysis from roughly 10 hours to under one minute, improved MILP model generation and execution by 1.5x to 2.5x, delivered 5 percent natural-gas savings in one refinery deployment, and improved overall equipment effectiveness by 66 percent.

Solution

Parabole built the TRAIN platform as a causal-first layer in front of industrial optimization engines so customers can shrink enormous decision spaces before mixed-integer optimization begins. TRAIN continuously ingests cross-functional operational data, scientific models, company knowledge, and expert input, then constructs contextual causal graphs that validate hypotheses, isolate the variables that truly drive outcomes, and hand refined scenarios to Gurobi for mathematical optimization. To make that workflow near real time, Parabole parallelized core text-processing, graph-generation, and causal-analysis steps across NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips, using accelerated memory movement and large CUDA-parallel batches to keep latency low as model complexity grows. The result is an adaptive optimization stack that can generate minute-level production plans, respond to disruptions, and optimize across machine health, maintenance, quality, and waste.

Data flow

Cross-functional operational data and expert input flow into TRAIN, which generates and refines causal graphs to reduce the search space. The selected variables and scenarios are sent to Gurobi for optimization on GH200-backed infrastructure, and the resulting plans are returned to operators for disruption response and production control.
