Sibionics (硅基仿生)

Customer Service Automation

Sibionics was iterating AI-assisted chronic-disease services such as intelligent Q&A and educational recommendations, but its previous fixed-server architecture slowed testing and training. The company also wasted resources during low traffic and still risked instability when pulse traffic arrived.

business systems are now 100% serverless

Reported impact

Business outcome

Sibionics removed much of the deployment overhead around chronic-disease AI services and gained a release model that better fits frequent experimentation and fluctuating traffic. The platform now supports a growing diabetes knowledge base and several patient-facing or clinician-support assistants on a fully serverless foundation.

Solution

Sibionics moved its diabetes-focused AI services onto Alibaba Cloud ACK with Knative so product teams could release and scale medical-assistance workloads with less infrastructure friction. Knative gives the company a fast way to deploy service revisions to Kubernetes during frequent testing cycles, which matters because intelligent Q&A and related patient-support products require ongoing iteration. The same serverless layer also brings elastic scaling for spiky usage, queue-proxy request observation, and request-based gray release with multi-version management, so Sibionics can publish updates throughout the day without rebuilding its whole operations model. On top of that base, the company runs a diabetes intelligent Q&A system, a science-article recommendation system, blood-glucose and AGP analysis assistants, and a diabetes-event knowledge-graph labeling platform. The result is a fully serverless medical AI service layer rather than a collection of fixed-capacity application servers.

Data flow

Medical-support requests are sent to Sibionics' Knative services on ACK, where the platform scales with demand and routes traffic to the current model version. The resulting Q&A answers, article recommendations, glucose analyses, and labeled event data are then fed back into patient-support and research workflows.

Solution architecture

2 components · 1 layer
  1. Orchestration
    • Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) Provides the Kubernetes platform that hosts Sibionics' diabetes AI services.
    • Knative Adds fast service deployment, elastic scaling, queue observation, and multi-version release controls.

Architecture clues

  • Queue-proxy traffic observation and multi-version release management are part of the production medical-AI workflow.
  • Sibionics uses one Knative substrate for both interactive Q&A and background knowledge or labeling services.
  • The serverless design is used to support both patient-facing education scenarios and internal knowledge-graph preparation.

Evidence from the source

Sibionics said its old architecture lowered development efficiency for intelligent Q&A models and wasted resources because fixed servers were tight at peaks and idle at low traffic. (original: 智能问答模型,需要反复进行测试和训练... 原有的技术架构需要运维人员不断检测部署... 使用固定资源的服务器,在高峰期会出现资源紧张,甚至宕机... 在低谷期,又会出现资源浪费。)

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value86/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity16/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence88%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability25/25
