Solution
Baidu Tieba used Baidu AI Cloud to evolve from a text-heavy forum into a video and live-stream community with one end-to-end media architecture. Object Storage BOS forms the backbone for UGC, PGC, short-video, and live-stream assets, while Media Content Analysis and Media Content Review inspect and govern content across the asset lifecycle. Live Streaming Service (LSS) powers Tieba Live as a PaaS layer that let the team launch a live-stream middle platform quickly and keep iterating on new features. Video On Demand (VOD) adds managed storage, organization, playback, and media-asset classification for large on-demand libraries, while CDN distributes content to web and app clients at national scale. Because the same live stack can be exported as an SDK to other Baidu live platforms and share unified-account logic, the deployment becomes a reusable operating backbone for live, recorded, stored, reviewed, and delivered community content.
Data flow
UGC and PGC posts, short videos, and live streams flow into BOS and the LSS live stack, where media-analysis and review services inspect the assets. VOD manages on-demand video organization and playback, and CDN delivers the resulting media to Tieba web clients, mobile apps, and other Baidu live platforms that reuse the SDK-based live middle layer.
