Solution

On the Jingxiong Expressway Hebei section, Baidu AI Cloud built a highway industry large model around Qianfan and BaiGe to create a digital operations expert for road management. The model was pre-trained on expressway operating data and then specialized for four highway tasks: event detection, emergency disposal, information handling, and business interaction. Compared with the broader Hebei group case, this project emphasizes the application layer on a specific route, where eight innovation apps expose multimodal perception, knowledge enhancement, content generation, voice-command interaction, and multi-party coordination. Managers can query data, trigger cross-system workflows, coordinate information, generate reports, and dispatch commands through semantic interaction rather than by manually stepping across disconnected tools.

Data flow

Operating data from the Jingxiong route is used to pretrain the large model, which then processes route events, user queries, and workflow requests. The model returns analysis, reports, and commands across systems, data sources, and APIs to support traffic operations and coordination.

Solution architecture

3 components · 2 layers
  1. Compute
    • Qianfan Large Model Platform Provides the large-model development environment used to build and specialize the route-level highway model.
    • BaiGe Heterogeneous Compute Platform Supplies the compute infrastructure for pretraining and operating the highway model stack.
  2. Serving
    • Highway Industry Large Model Acts as the digital expert that supports route-level operations, detection, coordination, and decision making.

Architecture clues

  • The project defines four specialized model domains and eight innovation applications
  • The route-level deployment emphasizes multimodal perception and direct coordination for one pilot expressway
  • Voice-semantic commands can reach systems, functions, data, and APIs directly

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    4 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence89%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    4 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency8/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
