Solution

Sanwa Comtec built an on-premises harassment-detection capability for Rocket.Chat customers by combining IBM watsonx.ai with IBM Watson natural language processing classification functions. Working with legal experts, the team assembled training examples for sexual and power-based harassment, evaluated multiple models in a proof of concept and selected the most effective approach for a custom classifier. The resulting model runs inside a closed environment so organizations with strict network restrictions can analyze chat content without exposing it to public cloud services. By focusing on lightweight language models that can be packaged on premises, Sanwa Comtec and IBM turned watsonx.ai from a generic model-development environment into a deployable moderation component that fits regulated enterprise communication stacks. The team continues to refine training data and application logic as they move the solution toward production.

Data flow

Chat messages from on-premises Rocket.Chat deployments are processed by a custom classifier built in watsonx.ai with IBM Watson NLP, which scores conversations for likely harassment and generates alerts without sending sensitive content to external networks.

Solution architecture

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value86/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity16/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence89%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
