Solution
YMCA Victoria, working with Digital Armour and Telstra, implemented Polly, a multilingual AI chatbot built on Microsoft technologies to deliver policy and procedure guidance to staff and volunteers in their preferred language. Copilot Studio provides the conversational interface so team members can ask natural-language questions and receive immediate, context-aware responses. SharePoint integration gives Polly real-time access to YMCA Victoria’s organisational content, letting the bot retrieve and reference current policies instead of relying on static translations or printed materials. Azure AI Translator converts that policy information into multiple languages for a culturally diverse workforce. Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure hosts the solution so it can scale securely across distributed and hybrid environments, while Telstra’s enterprise-grade network supplies the low-latency, high-availability connectivity needed for real-time performance across more than 150 sites.
Data flow
Team members submit natural-language questions to Polly through Copilot Studio over Telstra’s network. The chatbot retrieves relevant YMCA Victoria policies and procedures through SharePoint integration, uses Azure AI Translator to render the information in the user’s preferred language, and returns context-aware answers and summaries in real time. Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure hosts the service so it can scale across more than 150 sites.
