Hippocratic AI

Customer Service Automation

Hippocratic AI needed to scale safe, empathetic patient outreach and follow-up without adding clinician workload, but real-time voice inference, safety review, and HIPAA-sensitive operations created demanding latency and infrastructure constraints.

Reported impact

Business outcome

Hippocratic AI enabled clinicians to publish more than 300 validated agents across 25 specialties, contacted 100,000 patients in a single day during a hurricane, and created a low-latency outreach platform that helps relieve burnout while scaling preventative and follow-up care.

Solution

Hippocratic AI built a patient-engagement platform and AI Agent App Store around a safety-first inference stack rather than a single monolithic model. Clinician-authored scripts are validated through licensure checks, development testing, and clinical review, then deployed as voice agents for workflows such as postpartum monitoring, wound care, diabetes screening, and emergency outreach. At runtime, the company's Polaris constellation uses more than 25 task-specific language models together with a 400B speaking model and supervising models to keep conversations safe and empathetic. Those models run on NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs through Amazon SageMaker HyperPod, while TensorRT-LLM lowers latency and cost so thousands of real-time patient interactions can be served inside a multi-account, multi-cluster AWS architecture that separates production and development for privacy and control.

Data flow

Clinicians author scripts that pass through validation and clinical review before deployment. During patient calls, voice interactions are processed by the Polaris model constellation on H200 GPUs through SageMaker HyperPod, TensorRT-LLM accelerates inference, and the resulting responses are delivered back in real time through the patient-engagement platform.

Solution architecture

4 components · 3 layers
  1. Compute
    • NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs Provide the high-throughput inference infrastructure for real-time voice interactions.
  2. Serving
    • TensorRT-LLM Optimizes model serving so voice interactions stay fast and efficient at scale.
  3. Orchestration
    • Polaris constellation architecture Coordinates the ensemble of specialized models that supervise, validate, and generate patient-facing conversations.
    • Amazon SageMaker HyperPod Hosts the production-scale GPU environment used to run the Polaris model constellation.

Architecture clues

  • Real-time patient interactions are designed for HIPAA-sensitive environments
  • The AI Agent App Store lets clinicians build agents in under 30 minutes without coding
  • The speaking model is supervised by multiple additional models for safety
  • Uses a multi-account, multi-cluster AWS strategy to separate production from development workloads

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value90/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence92%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability23/25
11 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    4 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency9/10
2 source references document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
