Solution

Radisson Hotel Group partnered with Accenture Song and OpenAI to build a ChatGPT plugin that brings branded hotel discovery directly into travel-planning conversations. The plugin lets users see hotel suggestions on a map, compare pricing, inspect amenities, and continue to Radisson’s own booking flow without leaving the conversational context. Accenture and Radisson used agentic development to deliver the experience in six weeks, then extended the same infrastructure into sponsored advertising inside ChatGPT so organic discovery and paid promotion reinforce one another. Under the hood, the team created MCP server and API infrastructure that supports both the plugin and the ads experience, and that can power additional features over time. The result is a new direct digital front door for hotel shopping that treats ChatGPT as a planning surface where travelers shortlist options before ever reaching a hotel website.

Data flow

Traveler trip-planning prompts enter ChatGPT, where the Radisson plugin pulls hotel maps, prices, and amenity data through APIs and the MCP server. Users compare options conversationally, then continue into Radisson’s direct booking experience while sponsored ads reinforce visibility during planning.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    2 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
