Solution

PwC and Google Cloud helped the healthcare organization turn fragmented oncology records into an AI-ready clinical data foundation. Using a prebuilt PwC cloud solution of pipelines, frameworks and deployment tools, the teams ingested and organized lab results, treatment patterns, clinical notes, claims data, pathology reports, biomarker data and social determinants of health on Google Cloud. AI was used both to convert unstructured clinical content into structured data and to identify patient cohorts, surface treatment patterns and flag people who might qualify for trials or need additional support. Google Cloud Vertex AI ran predictive models while Looker delivered analytics dashboards for clinicians and analysts. Built-in monitoring controls tracked data quality so the new environment could support research, real-world evidence generation and privacy-protected external collaboration, letting clinicians spend less time hunting for context and more time making care decisions.

Data flow

Structured and unstructured oncology data from health records, claims and third-party sources is ingested through PwC's cloud solution into Google Cloud, where AI converts notes into usable structured information and Vertex AI models identify cohorts, risks and trial opportunities. Looker then delivers the resulting insights to clinicians and analysts.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value86/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity16/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact15/25
    1 metric describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence79%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    5 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance0/10
The publication date has no documented provenance.
  • Source transparency8/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
