Solution

OXIO uses Snowflake as the central data layer for its telecom-as-a-service platform, bringing subscriber, connectivity, and application data into one governed foundation for client analytics and data products. Streaming and batch telecom data are ingested through Apache Kafka into Snowflake, where dbt-ready modeling and built-in monitoring reduce the burden of keeping pipelines current. Data scientists use the unified data to build churn models and other AI/ML workflows, while client-facing reporting surfaces telecom and brand insights such as connectivity quality, wireless spend, engagement, and movement patterns. OXIO's BrandIQ offering sits on the same foundation to convert mobile-signal and behavioral data into privacy-centric intelligence for brands. By centralizing storage, modeling, and analytics in Snowflake, OXIO improved runtime performance, cut ingestion latency, and created a base for future sharing through client-owned Snowflake environments and Snowpark-enabled workloads.

Data flow

Streaming telecom and application data are ingested through Apache Kafka into Snowflake, modeled with dbt, and surfaced through dashboards and BrandIQ. The same unified data also feeds AI/ML churn models and operational insights for OXIO clients.

Solution architecture

4 components · 4 layers
  1. Ingest
    • Apache Kafka Streams large volumes of telecom event data into the Snowflake environment for downstream analysis.
  2. Compute
    • dbt Shapes raw telecom data into reusable analytical models for dashboards, brand intelligence, and churn analysis.
  3. Storage
    • Snowflake Stores unified subscriber, connectivity, and application data that powers OXIO analytics and AI workflows.
  4. Serving
    • BrandIQ Serves privacy-centric brand analytics and behavioral insights built from the curated Snowflake data.

Architecture clues

  • BrandIQ converts mobile session and movement data into privacy-centric BI for consumer brands.
  • OXIO is evaluating Snowpark and client-owned Snowflake sharing to expand distribution of analytics products.
  • Snowflake monitoring replaced a custom monitoring system for warehouse capacity and pipeline health.

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value95/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    2 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale5/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence82%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability23/25
11 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    5 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance0/10
The publication date has no documented provenance.
  • Source transparency9/10
2 source references document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity10/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
