Solution
TCS rolled out Microsoft 365 Copilot as a governed productivity layer across QIAGEN's Microsoft 365 estate rather than as a one-off pilot. The team first reviewed QIAGEN's Microsoft 365 environment, mapped subsystems and vulnerabilities against Microsoft's standards, and created a tailored risk model plus mitigation plan for deployment. Governance was built in through QIAGEN's cybersecurity teams, AI council, and workers council, while transparent guardrails, restricted SharePoint search, and resource whitelisting constrained what Copilot could access. TCS then paired the platform rollout with change communications, Viva Engage community support, webinars, drop-in sessions, and self-learn and use-case ideation accelerators. Employees used Microsoft 365 Copilot in core productivity apps, while Copilot Studio pilots and agents supported audit readiness, HR question answering, document translation, QA workflows, and intranet access.
Data flow
Approved enterprise content in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint is exposed to Microsoft 365 Copilot under whitelisted access controls. Employees invoke Copilot in daily productivity apps, while Copilot Studio pilots and deployed agents return answers and task support for audit readiness, HR workflows, document translation, QA work, and the QIAGEN intranet. Feedback from training and community channels then informs broader rollout and scaling.
