Solution

Agape Source embedded Microsoft Copilot into frontline nonprofit work so a staff of three and a volunteer network can support newcomers more effectively. Volunteers use Copilot’s grounded web chat to ask context questions about countries and crises, retrieve sourced summaries with footnotes, translate on the fly during in-person interactions, and generate task lists such as culturally tailored holiday care-package plans. Recent expansion into Copilot for Microsoft 365 extends that assistance into day-to-day staff productivity workflows. The pattern is simple but powerful: staff or volunteers pose a time-sensitive need, Copilot synthesizes information or language support, and the human helper uses the result immediately in a client interaction or operational task. This gives Agape Source a lightweight AI layer for research, translation, and content generation that preserves human contact while drastically compressing preparation time for services that previously took days or weeks.

Data flow

Staff or volunteers enter a question or task into Copilot, the assistant synthesizes sourced information or translations, and the response is used immediately in newcomer support, care planning, or internal productivity work.

Evidence from the source

Volunteers finished the initiative—which typically takes several weeks to prep, organize, and carry out—in less than a day, thanks to the AI-powered assistant.
Volunteers have a “conversation” with Copilot ... and the linked footnotes enable volunteers to easily find the source of information Copilot summarizes.
With a staff of just three full-time employees, the nonprofit looked for ways to do more for the people it supports—and even grow.
