Solution

Nubank built a connected AI support stack with OpenAI that starts inside the company and extends directly to customers. The first layer is a custom enterprise search tool that uses GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, RAG, semantic search, and fine-tuned models to retrieve FAQs, brand guidelines, and policies from fragmented internal repositories through a chat interface. On top of that knowledge foundation, Nubank created a support copilot with GPT-4o that surfaces next-reply suggestions, chat summaries, and step-by-step guidance for agents around the clock. The bank then added an AI Assistant powered by GPT-4o that handles up to five automated interactions directly with customers before escalating, and separately began piloting GPT-4o vision for fraud-quality assurance across transactions, documents, and customer communications. This layered design lets Nubank reuse knowledge retrieval, context, and supervision patterns across employee productivity, support automation, and fraud operations.

Data flow

Internal documents are retrieved through RAG and semantic search, then ranked and answered through the enterprise search interface. The same knowledge and chat context power the agent copilot and AI Assistant for customer support, while GPT-4o vision separately reviews transaction and document evidence to flag fraud issues under policy controls.

Scoring methodology

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value100/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact25/25
    4 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence89%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability21/25
10 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    4 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency8/10
1 source reference document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
