Solution

Typeform built Formless on GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 so businesses can create AI-driven conversations instead of manually designing traditional forms. A creator now supplies basic instructions about what information to collect, and the models generate the conversational flow, decide what question should come next, and support two-way exchanges where respondents can ask clarifying questions just as they would with a person. The same stack also handles computation, conditionals, routing, brand voice adaptation, multilingual translation based on browser language, and AI-based analysis of the completed responses. After the conversation finishes, Typeform converts those natural-language responses into whatever structure the business requires and exposes DataPilot so users can ask questions about results and connect information from multiple sources. That turns form creation, completion, and analysis into one continuous AI-assisted workflow.

Data flow

Business users define collection goals in Formless, GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 turn those instructions into a live multilingual conversation, respondent answers are normalized into structured data, and DataPilot then lets teams query the results and combine them with other information sources.

Solution architecture

4 components · 2 layers
  1. Compute
    • GPT-3.5 Turbo Helps generate and manage the conversational form behavior and response handling.
    • GPT-4 Supports richer reasoning for dynamic questioning, routing, and result analysis in Formless.
  2. Serving
    • Formless Provides the conversational front end where businesses define prompts and respondents interact with the AI flow.
    • DataPilot Lets business users ask questions about collected results and act on the resulting insights.

Architecture clues

  • Businesses can train the AI on a subject and brand voice before launch
  • DataPilot supports questioning and integrating information from multiple sources
  • Responses are transformed into whatever structure the business requires
  • The platform automatically translates based on the respondent's browser language settings

Evidence from the source

Businesses can use the platform's AI-driven natural language analysis to transform conversational responses into data that matches any structure the business requires
The next question is a reaction to the previous answer
The platform, built with OpenAI's GPT-3.5 Turbo model as well as GPT-4, handles the rest
Then, with the platform's DataPilot feature, they can talk to the AI about their data

Scoring methodology

How scores are calculated

Customer Reference Value measures usefulness as a customer reference. Evidence Confidence measures the quality and traceability of available evidence, not independent verification.

Customer reference value75/100
  • Problem clarity20/20
Measures whether the customer's operational problem is specific enough to compare.
  • Implementation depth25/25
Rewards named components, data flow, integrations, and architecture detail.
  • Outcome specificity20/20
Measures whether the reported benefit is concrete rather than a generic claim.
  • Quantified impact0/25
    0 metrics describe measurable impact.
  • Deployment scale10/10
Rewards evidence of a live or scaled deployment and meaningful integration scope.
Evidence confidence92%
  • Source authority20/25
The main evidence is an official vendor-published customer story.
  • Claim traceability25/25
12 of 12 key fields link to a named source.
  • Direct evidence20/20
    4 direct source quotes retained.
  • Date provenance10/10
The publication date comes from the source page or publisher.
  • Source transparency9/10
3 source references document publisher, URL, authority, retrieval, and supported fields.
  • Implementation specificity8/10
Rewards source-backed components, data flow, quantified impact, and a specific outcome.
