Solution

Wix combined OpenAI models with its long-standing website-building platform to turn site creation into a conversational workflow. The AI Website Builder lets users describe a business or project in natural language, then generates a full website with layout, images, text, and business apps already configured. Under the hood, AI text creator uses OpenAI models to draft headlines, taglines, product descriptions, blog content, and SEO metadata tuned to Wix’s knowledge of business type and audience intent. GPT-4o’s vision capabilities support image captioning, classification, and even menu parsing from restaurant photos, while report generators let business users query operational data in natural language. Wix also extended the experience with a Website Builder GPT powered by ChatGPT Enterprise so anyone can create enterprise-grade sites conversationally across nine languages.

Data flow

Users describe their business or project in natural language, and Wix routes those prompts through the AI Website Builder and AI text creator to assemble layouts, copy, metadata, and apps. Images, menus, and other assets are interpreted with GPT-4o, and the resulting site content is served back through Wix or the Website Builder GPT.
